Every day, more structural engineers are using Grasshopper to become better designers.
One of them is Alexander Sehlström at WSP. He was part of a project group investigating the condition and required maintenance of the cable-roof structure over the stands. In this project, the FEM-Design Grasshopper connection was a very important tool for managing complex geometry. Alexander will describe the Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, which has it all, from key 1950s paper drawings found in the archives to modern parametric design methods. Johanna Riad will speak about the FEM-Design Grasshopper package in general, explaining how it works and how it can be used.
